"Climate Quilts - Weaving threads of biodiversity and community resilience" is a research-oriented  project under the Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) Call for Proposals 2024 cofinanced by the European Union.

Ungas Egna Kulturprojekt is a initiative from Stockholm Stad that provides funding and support for young people to create and lead their own cultural projects. Blivande host this program, in collaboration with Frihamnens Kulturförening.

During the period Nov 2021 - Jan 2024, Frihamnstorget was a pilot study in a Vinnova-funded project on modular creative zones. The project took on a dimension of system innovation when building permit requirements resulted in new application of practices for interpreting the Planning and Building Act regarding temporary architecture. The project has been implemented with the support of Vinnova.

Our intentions in establishing the Stockholm Local Chapter were to create a local ecosystem for individuals and organisations who share the passion and the urgency, to create a more sustainable, beautiful, and inclusive future society.

(CAT-EaP) project, in partnership with Armenian Progressive Youth NGO (APY) and International Center for Peace and Integration (ICPI), aims to strengthen public engagement and civic engagement through storytelling, capacity building, and international cooperation, bringing together CSO representatives and individual activists from Armenia, Georgia, and Sweden. This project is funded by the Swedish Institute.

The project Growing Beauty allowed three groups of youths between the ages of 15 - 25 to design and then build a functional artistic sculpture that can be used for urban gardening or alternatively increases biodiversity locally. This project was a collaboration wit Dodo ry (FI) and co-financed by the European Union.

Our initiative “Crisis response” was among 23 projects from the EU and the UK that have received the EESC Civil Solidarity Prize for their outstanding contribution to fighting COVID-19 and its disastrous consequences.

A gathering and community where nightlife creators from across the world met over seven days to exchange skills, knowledge and creativity. All to inspire and enable positive change on both venue and city level. This project was financed by Kulturådet and took place in 2023.

The NEB Stockholm Fest was the inaugural local edition inspired by the New European Bauhaus Festival in Brussels, created as a yearly meeting point in Stockholm. The Cultural Program brought together organizations, practitioners, and institutions interested in exploring and applying New European Bauhaus principles, offering space to connect, exchange experiences, learn from ongoing projects, and spark new collaborations with like-minded partners. This Cultural Program was produced by the NEB local Chapter Stockholm.

A self-organized center for activities for Ukrainian children, sponsored by Blivande, hosts activities twice per week and occasionally holds Ukrainian festivals in the container village Frihamnstorget.

Our first year of public Cultural Program ming operated under the banner of "Deltagardriven Programutveckling" ("Participatory Program Development"). This initiative empowered co-creators and various organizers by providing them with a budget to self-organize Cultural Program and activities within the container village, Frihamnstorget.

The Center for Displaced Ukrainians was a versatile community space run in the Blivande Cultural Program rooms and managed by Rasmus Kasurinen. During the first year of outbreak of the war, the project played a vital role in supporting thousands of people who have fled the harsh realities of the conflict.

Studio Tau, formerly known as Transformalin, is a hub for participatory artist. This space boasts a spacious, high-ceilinged workshop ideal for large-scale projects. It serves as both a creative studio and an educational center, where creators of artist and participatory cultural professionals can teach, collaborate, and co-create with others.

During the summer season, this project brought the cultural dreams of inexperienced Stockholmers to life. Initially planned for ten projects, the scope was adjusted to four due to available funding. The selection process aimed to ensure a broad diversity of art forms and participant profiles. This project was financed with a grant from Stockholm Stad.

Civic Action Tales (officially called Storytelling for youth empowering) is a project in collaboration.with Civic Action Network (CAN) in Austria. The project aims to empower youths in taking their first steps in becoming active citizens by showcasing civic actor role models and offering workshops to support their development as young civic actors. The project is co-funded by the European Union.

Noden is a radical experiment in community building in central Stockholm under the roof of House Blivande in Frihamnen. We are a year around place for a wide variety of co-created and non-profit workshops and Cultural Program.

The Longest Table is a community-building concept designed to foster open dialogue and connection among diverse groups of people. Participants sit at an unusually long table to share a meal and engage in meaningful conversations about shared interests, challenges, and visions for the future. The initiative emphasizes inclusivity, breaking barriers, and creating a sense of belonging through the universal act of sharing food and stories.

The artistic residency, awarded to researcher and circus artist Marie-Andrée Robitaille, aims to transform the narrative around climate change by drawing parallels between the semaphore system in the Baltic Sea and our ability to communicate and act collectively

Every year in January, Blivande takes in 4 volunteer from the European Solidarity Corps to support Blivande in the cultural program, community building and the civic initiatives present in the house. The program funded by the European Union provides the volunteers with food money, housing, public transport, travel to Sweden and some pocket money each month. Blivande follows the main objectives stated bellow.

Hope in Motion is a study on civic engagement and collective action through mass choreography and semaphore flags as part of the residency ''Semaphore Dialogues: Signals of Change"

Stockholm Foodsharing started in an environmental protest where the initial core group met and noticed a lack of food sharing initiatives in Stockholm. The group running it was active from 2019 until 2022. Regular food sharing happened at Frihamnstorget and Cyklopen over the projects time. In total more than 19 000 kg of food where re-distributed.
